    • S’mores Martini

Posted at 5:25 pm by StephMo
      Nov 1st

The flavors of a S’mores really do go wonderfully together. Tasting graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow in the same bite is so yummy. The great thing about this version of a S’mores is you don’t need a campfire to make it. You can absolutely drink it next to a campfire, however, but if it is raining, cold, or you just don’t feel like being outside, do not fret.

I had been thinking about making this type of martini and since marshmallow vodka is not a flavor you can buy, I found a whipped cream flavor vodka and I thought this might due. And it did! It tastes very much like a S’mores and it is a delicious treat.

      Ingredients:

      Graham crackers

      Chocolate syrup

2 oz. of whipped cream vodka

1 1/2 oz. of chocolate liqueur

Crush the graham crackers and spread them out on a small plate. Wet the rim of a martini glass and dip in the crackers to make a graham cracker rim.

Squeeze some chocolate syrup on the inside of the glass.

Add ice, vodka, and chocolate liqueur into a cocktail shaker. Shake well and pour into your prepared martini glass. Garnish with marshmallows on a cocktail stick.

      Enjoy!

    • Pumpkin Pie Martini

Posted at 6:06 pm by StephMo
      Oct 16th

I love everything pumpkin but have never had a pumpkin cocktail. There are a number of Pumpkin Martini recipes on the internet but they all seem to be extra creamy and fattening. Not that this martini is non-fat, but I was looking for a yummy pumpkin taste without added cream so I created my own. I also love the flavor of vanilla so I decided to combine that into the drink as well.

What else goes well with pumpkin? Graham crackers and cinnamon of course!

      Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Pumpkin Pie Liqueur

      2 oz. Vanilla Vodka

      1 graham cracker

      1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Crush a graham cracker until it becomes fine crumbs.

Combine the graham cracker crumbs with the cinnamon and put on a plate.

Wet the rim of a martini glass and dip into the graham cracker cinnamon crumbs.

In a cocktail shaker add ice, vodka, and the pumpkin liqueur and shake well.

Pour into the rimmed martini glass. Enjoy!

    • Taste Of Summer Cocktail

Posted at 10:35 am by StephMo
      Oct 15th

This is hands down one of my favorite drinks in the Summer. A restaurant in Maine used to make something similar that they called a “Taste of Summer” which used Gin, and since then it is what my friends and I call this type of drink. I prefer Vodka over Gin but you can use whichever you please.

It is basically just a Vodka and Tonic, or Gin and Tonic, with lime and a muddled cucumber. I think the restaurant also added a simple syrup but I like it without. I absolutely love the taste of cucumber in this drink and you can add more of a cucumber flavor by using Cucumber Vodka.

      Ingredients:

      Vodka (or Gin)

      Tonic Water

      Cucumber

      Lime

Muddle a cucumber in the bottom of a glass. You can crush the cucumber before putting in the glass, or just use a spoon to mash it while in the glass. You just want to release the cucumber flavor.

Add ice, then equal parts Vodka and Tonic Water and a squeeze of lime. Stir.

Use a lime wedge and a cumber slice for garnish. Enjoy!

    • Apple Cider Bourbon

Apple cider from the local orchard, nutmeg, and a little Bourbon make this a perfect cocktail for a Fall night. This is one of my new favorite drinks, just delicious!

      Ingredients:

      1/2 cup apple cider

      1 1/2 oz. Bourbon

      1/8 tsp. nutmeg

      Cinnamon stick

      Apple slices

      Cinnamon and sugar

Wet the rim of a highball glass with water or a lemon. Dip the rim in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to form a sugary rim on the glass.

In a cocktail shaker combine cider, Bourbon, and nutmeg with some ice. Shake well and pour into rimmed glass with ice.

Add a cinnamon stick and apple slices for garnish. Enjoy!

    • Cosmopolitan Martini

Cosmos are one of my “go to” drinks when I am ordering a cocktail at a restaurant. There are so many different variations of this popular drink but this is the version that I enjoy at home and I hope you’ll enjoy it too!

      Ingredients:

      2 1/2 oz. Vodka

      1 oz. Countreau

      1 oz. cranberry juice

      1/2 oz. lime juice

Ignore the Gin marker on the bottle, it is actually Vodka. I don’t drink Gin and it was the only antique bottle marker I had and I like the way it looks on my decanter.

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Pour into a martini glass and garnish with a slice of lime. Enjoy!

      Oct 14th

Looking for a fun Saturday Sip? Or any day sip? How about the combination of raspberry and lemon? Some of my favorite flavors together are lemon and raspberry, so Chambord and Limoncello were on the liquor store “packie” shopping list.

      Ingredients:

      1 1/2 oz. Vodka

      1 1/2 oz. Limoncello

      1 oz. Chambord

      Squeeze of a lemon

Rim a martini glass with lemon juice, and dip it in some sugar to make a lemon sugar rim.

Add all of the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker along with some ice and shake well.

Pour into your sugar rimmed martini glass and garnish with a slice of lemon.

      Enjoy!

    • Lemon Blueberry Martini

Lemon and blueberry are two flavors that go together so well, and also two of my favorite flavors. I actually just had a lemon blueberry scone the other day, so yummy. When it comes to cocktail hour try mixing up these flavors for a delicious martini!

      Ingredients:

      1.5 oz. Blueberry Vodka

      1.5 oz. Vanilla Vodka

      1.5 oz. Limoncello

Fresh blueberries and lemon for garnish

Shake vodkas and limoncello in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a glass and garnish with the blueberries and lemon. Enjoy!

    • Chocolate Raspberry Martini

Posted at 3:24 pm by StephMo
      Oct 14th

The thing I love most about this martini is not only does it combine the three flavors I love, chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla, but it doesn’t have any additional creamy liquid. Lots of these dessert martinis have half and half or Bailey’s as an ingredient as well. While those flavors are also delicious, this recipe is great if you aren’t looking for such a heavy drink.

      Ingredients:

      2 oz. vanilla vodka

2 oz. Chambord or raspberry liquor

      2 oz. chocolate liquor

      Ice

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour into a martini glass and enjoy!

    • French Vanilla Martini

Posted at 6:31 pm by StephMo
      Feb 14th

I am kicking off my cocktail recipe blogs with one of my favorites, the French Vanilla Martini, or French Martini. There are only three ingredients, and it is a delicious combination of vanilla, raspberry, and pineapple!

If you aren’t familiar with Chambord liqueur, it is a wonderful black raspberry liqueur that can be used in many different cocktails. It is a great liqueur to have in the house.

      Ingredients:

      2 oz. vanilla vodka

      1.5 oz. Chambord

      2 oz. pineapple juice

      Ice

Add 3 ice cubes and other ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well until mixture becomes cold.

Pour into a martini glass and enjoy!
